Regatta Primer-Spring 2026 Dogwood Juniors 3/24/26 - 3/26/26
3105 Clarks Bridge Rd, Gainesville, GA 30506
Post Regatta RESULTS:

_____________
PreRegatta Primer Details:
1. Lake Lanier Waiver: the Lake Lanier Waiver is now in your Boathouse Connect profile and must be signed immediately. Go to BOATHOUSECONNECT.COM (log in to your profile)> WAIVERS & DOCS > MY WAIVERS & DOCS, and you'll see the Lake Lanier Waiver there. It takes like 2 seconds to sign!
The event provided a printable form, as they require all waivers to be uploaded for the race. We provided the esign ability, however, the external waiver link is no longer recording submissions, so we've placed it in your BC profile.
2. A parent table will be set up at the team tent if anyone wants to bring food to share as a parent community table! (optional)
3. Race times updated, see schedule above.
4. Friday is trailering day. This is typically a later end time. Therefore, if you need to leave at 7:15pm, you'll remain on land with Coach Russ so that you can derig and trailer your boat. Other boats will do a short practice and then derig and load.
5. Uni's were delivered Thursday 3/19 at the end of practice for the following rowers: James / Spivey / Hoffman / Hoffman / Schimke / Slack / Oja / Walters / Collins / Maihorn / Maldonado / Smith / Young McKelvey / Van Velduizen. For those who ordered AFTER the group order closed, the team store is bringing RGA tank tops Saturday as loaners for this race. If you are not wearing the team uni, you must wear black spandex type shorts, with the RGA tank. The tanks fit large, so wear something that's ok to be exposed under it.
6. Because there is a limit to the lanes on the race course, additional heats are necessary when boat entries exceed lane availability. Therefore, the event organizers are working on finalzing heats for several events. We'll update our schedule when we have more information from them. The schedule below is a general guideline to show how the day flows. However, the times are going to be adjusted by the event organizers due to the need for additional heats in a few races, and this is not unusual. Stay tuned.
Know your race-trailer and dock schedules (below). In addition to your arrival and race times, check to see which races you are assigned to catch.
Event times may shift, so stay alert and be ready to adjust. Event day follows a general flow from your designated arrival time, unloading, and rigging, to oars ready, hands-on, launch, race, catch-dock, derigging, and loading, with managing your pre and post race fueling and recovery according to individual race(s). Questions? Email headcoach@rowgeorgia.com.
Coaches and Coxes Meeting, Friday at 6:30 PM via Zoom link here. All head coaches and coxswains are expected to attend. Others encouraged and welcome.
General information Free parking, All Athletes and Spectators may park starting in the main lot on the Tower/Race Course side. Once that lot is full, you will be directed to the overflow lot. Volunteers will be on site to help direct. Spectators park on the tower side. Additional details HERE on Regatta Central.
There will be NO athlete drop-off on the boathouse side. If you need to drop athletes off before parking, that will take place on the tower/race course lot only.
The tunnel must be used when walking from one side of the venue to the other. This is for your safety.
Updated schedule HERE on Regatta Central. It will likely change. The most accurate up to race times will be where Results are posted, which are usually posted on row2k.com > Results.
Team Tent 35 rowers are participating in this regatta. Light fueling and recovery items in morning and afternoon, along with lunch will be provided for the athletes. Athletes are to eat breakfast before arrival. Lunch Menu: Grilled chicken, Caesar salad, pasta salad, rolls.
Where to watch? The best viewing is typically from the grandstands near the finish tower. FYI, in addition to youth, there will be a few college events.
Format This event is set up as a scrimmage format in that we will not have refs but we will have sufficient safety launches monitoring racing, along with Control Commission for a quick safety check before you launch, and Dock Masters to allow for safe launching and recovery.
All College and Youth racing on Saturday will be 2k with a static start from a stakeboat.
Awards: For Youth events, awards will be given to the 1st place across all heats of each event in the form of a unique medal.
Spectators
Important: All spectators are to park and stay in the spectator area on the tower side of the venue. Please do not enter the boat yard area. This is critical to prevent overflow traffic in the boat yard and ensure safe operations for athletes and coaches. To prevent accidents and allow athletes and coaches to work efficiently, only authorized athletes and staff should be in this area.
