Swim Test

Next date/time will be announced soon.

If you’ve already completed a Row Georgia swim test, you are swim compliant and this test does not apply to you.  The swim test is a one-and-done requirement unless you have a change that would affect your ability to swim.

If you have NOT completed a Row Georgia swim test, this test is for you. Only those rowers registered for the current Spring 2026 roster (competitive, dev, or rec) may attend. This is mandatory to maintain roster eligibility.

Who: ALL current RGA rowers (all programs) who have NOT completed and passed the swim test. Swim compliance is mandatory.

When: Next date TBA.

Where: Peachtree Dive Center, 1954 Hwy 54 W, this test is conducted by a certified Peachtree Dive Center lifeguard.

What to bring: $10 cash or check payable to PTC Dive Center

What to Wear: Shorts and a t-shirt and/or a swimsuit.

What does a swim test look like? All three components detailed below must be passed. Touching the pool floor or the wall is not authorized during any part of the swim test.

  • Swim 100 yards without stopping or touching the walls or bottom, no breaks, and there is no specific stroke required.
  • Tread water for 5 minutes.
  • At the end of the 5 minutes of treading water, a life vest will be tossed to the participant. He/she must properly put on the life jacket and buckle it while treading, and then exit the pool.

You'll receive results immediately.
