Attendance: Rowing is the ultimate team sport. Attendance is taken daily. It is a major determinant of performance, lineups and race opportunities. Persistent attendance issues negatively affect the athlete and the entire team. It is expected that all participants attend as scheduled, and communicate planned absences as far in advance as possible so that coaches and team members can plan accordingly. For Fall 2024, there are no holidays that would change the practice schedule. Therefore, unless there is a weather or another program issue that would require a cancellation, practices are set for the season, every week, as listed above.

    Late payment penalties:

    • $25 late fee for every 7 days past the due date.
    • Payments delinquent 14 or more days past the due date will result in suspension of participation in the program until payment is received.

    Refund Policy:

    • Refunds are available within 30 days of the season start date, less any payment plan fees, and a $300 cancellation fee. Coaches are staffed for the season based on registration numbers.
    • Refunds requested after 30 days are only given with a doctor's statement of incapacitating illness or injury. Refund amount will be equivalent to the tuition paid less any payment plan fees, prorated days used, and a $75 administration fee.
    • All refund requests must be submitted to president.rowgeorgia@gmail.com.

      Practice Cancellations:

In the event a practice is cancelled due to weather or a programming need, coaches will make every effort to reschedule. The week following the end of the season may be utilized for practice cancellation makeups.

Fayette County / Out of County Impact Fee: Fayette County allocated county taxpayer fees to build Lake McIntosh and residents are assessed annual taxes to cover the maintenance and care of the lake.

      • For use of Parks and Rec operated facilities, the county charges an Impact Fee $5 per in-county resident /  $25 per out-of-county resident.
      • The initial $5 is already included in the fees listed as it applies to every participant. Select your county status during checkout. This fee is paid to the county.

      Additional Fees:

      • Uniform: One uniform, approximately $100.
      • Regatta Fees: Regatta fees are shared by event participants, and vary by event and venue. It includes entry fees, trailer/racing shells/coach travel, team tent food, etc. The more Row Georgia participants in the event, the lower the fees. Regatta fees are invoiced individually. Depending on the venue, a regatta fee per participant is in the range of $50 - $150. Championship regattas are higher.
      • US Rowing: We are a member of US Rowing. Insurance and participation in US Rowing-sanctioned events require participants to maintain a valid US Rowing membership. One annual basic membership is $25.
      • Parking Pass: If you have an out-of-county tag on your car, an annual parking pass for Lake McIntosh is required and can be purchased for $50. Provide Row Georgia season proof of purchase to the Parks and Rec office to receive that rate. This pass is valid on a calendar year basis and expires on December 31st.
      • Individual Travel and Lodging Expenses: Up to and arranged by each participant according to personal preferences. Some participants may opt to share in these.

      Additional Information:

We have an official Row Georgia gear team store that serves as a team fundraiser. Show your spirit by wearing items from the store and helping participants get new equipment through this important fundraiser! If there is an item you would like to see added to the store, let us know! Email rowgeorgia@rowgeorgia.com.

Donations and sponsors are crucial to rowing programs. We utilize most of our equipment for many years. Some of our racing shells are older than some of our participants. Equipment care is an important part of the sport. Donations can help provide our kids with better equipment and more equipment so that we can increase our capacity to serve more people.

      • Own a business, or are you a decision maker for your company? We'd love to look at how we can advertise your business on our equipment!
      • Check out our  "Donor Designation" program. We have several immediate needs, and this provides a sponsor with the option to designate exactly how the donation benefits the program. Please share with others!
      • Many corporations offer an employer match program where your donation is matched, dollar for dollar. Row Georgia is a 501(c)(3) and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent the law allows. This benefit can make an enormous impact, doubling a donation!
