Regatta Primer
Row Georgia Competitive 2025 SCHR Families,
We’re looking forward to a great weekend of racing on Lake Melton at the 2025 Secret City Head Race in beautiful Oak Ridge, TN! Below you’ll find key information and helpful links as we prepare for the upcoming regatta.
Parent Support & Questions
Deanna and Dana will be at the lake during practice 10/23 Thursday to chat about the regatta weekend, answer any regatta-related questions. Parents are asked to stop by to chat, ask questions, or learn how to help make the weekend a success. We'll also have additional RGA merchandise if you wanted to pick up something for this weekend. Show your spirit with RGA fundraiser merchandise. 100% proceeds go to the program.
Volunteers have always delivered a great team tent for fellowship, athlete nutrition, rest, and recovery, so come help make it happen for Secret City ‘25! It can’t happen without volunteers. It’s tailgating, regatta style…which is always a great time!

Nutrition Tips & Rankings
For athlete nutrition guidance, regatta fueling tips, and current rankings, visit Row Georgia Nutrition & Rankings HERE.
Fall Head Race season = the distance of each race is approximately 5k. Each athlete needs to be preparing for endurance well before race, including getting enough rest, fitness routines outside of practice, and well disciplined daily nutrition. Great choices in those areas are foundational to each athlete’s results.

- Race results, click HERE. Remember that for Fall Head Races, unlike Spring, the order that the boats cross the finish line does not indicate placement since the boats are staggered at the starting line. Also, same search function, type Row Georgia in the search bar, and then choose Saturday or Sunday for daily results.
Coaches and Coxswains Zoom
Required for coaches and coxswains, and recommended for new rowers, anyone bowing, returning rowers to see the course, and parents. This provides great insight for everyone. ZOOM LINK WILL BE POSTED HERE ONCE AVAILABLE, or check on Regatta Central.
Thank you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm - it truly makes a difference for our athletes and the team as a whole. See you at the lake and on race day!
