Row Georgia Night Market Volunteering

Thank you for volunteering for the Peachtree City Night Market parking fundraiser! Please read the following event details.

We appreciate you donating your time to this pop-up fundraising opportunity that can also help reduce your regatta fee. This has become a successful fundraising opportunity for our program, and we're proud to be the first organization contacted when the assigned non-profit isn't available! Volunteers like you are the reason opportunities like this are possible. We value people who enjoy working together, supporting one another, and contributing to something bigger than themselves. If that collaborative spirit describes you, we hope you'll continue volunteering with us throughout the year.  Keep an eye out for more volunteer opportunities!

Deanna Cudahy is Row Georgia's on-site point of contact for the 7/10/26 event. Deanna has volunteered at this event previously and will provide instructions, assign locations, distribute materials, and answer any questions. Please check in with Deanna when you arrive before beginning your shift. She will provide:

    • Parking signs showing the minimum parking fee is $10.  Each is always welcome to contribute more above the base parking fee, "Parking fee is $10, and you can donate above the $10 fee to support our local nonprofit".
    • A Venmo QR code for customers. You can also click on the Venmo link below @rowgeorgia, save the QR code to your phone, and allow people to scan as needed.
    • Money bag to a person at each of our two entries

    Where to Park and Hours

You can park in the playground parking lot for free (across from our lots) if you get there early enough, or a few feet from our lot in the First Baptist PTC lot. Fill our two lots with as many paying customers as possible. People will typically fill our lots first because it's closer to the venue entrance...and it's especially nice to be close when leaving!

Your volunteer shift is 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Plan to remain for your entire scheduled shift in order to receive the regatta fee credit outlined in the volunteer sign-up information. The total amount raised during the event determines the value of each volunteer credit.

You are not required to stay past 8:30pm. Night Market officially closes at 10:00 pm. There have been occasions when volunteers remained a little longer if vehicles were still arriving. If an extension is beneficial, and there are enough volunteers willing, that call will be made on site by Deanna Cudahy. Overall, the latest we've stayed has been close to 9pm. But again, you are not required to remain past 8:30pm.

Please consider eating before you arrive since it's a short shift and we need all hands-on.

Have cars pull far enough in as you take their payment so they aren't not stopping the street flow of traffic. The police will be in the area to keep traffic moving.

No signage is permitted to be stationary or stuck in the ground, per the city police. You must hold signs.

    Accepting Payments

    We accept:

If a customer pays using Venmo, you need to visually verify that the payment has successfully processed before directing them to park.

    Representing Row Georgia

Many visitors ask about our program, making this a wonderful opportunity to introduce people to rowing in our community.

If asked, let them know that Row Georgia is located at Lake McIntosh in Peachtree City and offers recreational and competitive rowing opportunities for middle school students, high school students, and adults.

As they depart from you, encourage them to visit rowgeorgia.com where they can find details about and register for our a) weekly Learn to Row Summer Camps and b) FREE Three-Hour Learn to Row events

Thank you again! We love working Night Market!

    Best regards,

Dana Sweatt, RGA Program Director, email: rowgeorgia@rowgeorgia.com, phone: 770-527-6088
